Food
Food can be picked up once a week. The amount of food distributed is based on the number of people in the household. We typically offer a selection of canned and shelf-stable foods, in addition to fresh produce, frozen meat, and dairy products. You are welcome to bring your own bags and/or a cart. Bags are available if you need them. Food is distributed on the first floor of Chrystal’s Place.
Clothing and household items
Clothing and household items can be picked up once a month. The amount of items distributed is based on the number of people in the household. This room closes 1 hour before Chrystal’s Place closes (Mondays closed at 12:00 p.m.; Wednesdays closed at 6:30 p.m.). Clothing and household items are distributed on the second floor of Chrystal’s Place - volunteers are available to assist if you are unable to navigate stairs. On occasion, clothing can be picked up outside.
Diapers
Diapers can be picked up once a week. Wipes and pull-ups are not consistently available. Diapers are distributed on the first floor of Chrystal’s Place.
Front Door of Chrystal’s Place
How Does it Work: When you arrive at Chrystal’s Place, please knock on the front door (red door with white cross), and a volunteer will give you a number. You may be asked to wait outside depending on how many neighbors we are serving at the time. If you are unable to navigate the stairs to enter the front door, you can use the ramp along the side of the building. After you check in at the front desk, (photo ID is helpful but not necessary), volunteers will guide you through the clothing room and food pantry. Feel free to bring your own bags and/or cart - bags will be provided if you need them.
Parking: Limited parking is available on Chestnut Street. Additional parking is available in the lot of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene (York City Campus), 350 E. Chestnut Street. Please do not park in any of the parking lots on Chestnut Street, behind Chrystal’s Place, or in the CTown Parking lot.
