Food Pantry and Clothing Room

When: Mondays from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and Wednesdays from 4:30 - 7:30 pm on a walk-in basis to any low-income family in York County. Also, Monday evenings by appointment.

Where: Chrystal's Place, 216 Chestnut Street, York, PA 17403

Notes: Closed Christmas through New Year's. Also closed on major holidays or in the event of inclement weather. Phone 717-845-5641 after 9:00 am if in doubt.

Also, our partners at Feeding the Need distribute free food.

When: Every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month from 4:00 PM 6:00 PM

Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

When: Held the day before Palm Sunday each year at 11:00 am.

Where: Grounds of Alexander D. Goode Elementary school, 251 N. Broad Street, York PA 17403. Moved indoors in the event of bad weather.

Notes: For children ages 4 – 10.  Bring your own bag or basket.

 

Kid's Camp

When: Three or four weekdays in the summer. Dates and times vary each year to avoid conflicts with area Vacation Bible Schools.

Where: York City Campus of Stillmeadow Nazarene Church, 350 Chestnut Street York, PA 17403

Notes: Light meal.  Stories, music, games and crafts for children ages 4 - 12.  Sponsored by the Northeast Neighborhood Congregational Alliance.

 

National Night Out

When: A nation-wide anti-crime celebration held in individual communities every first Tuesday of August from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Our event is co-sponsored by the Children's Home of York.

Where: Festivities in the one hundred block of N. Pine Street near the corner of E. Philadelphia and N. Pine Streets.

Notes: Everyone welcome. Bring your own lawn chair if you have one. Free food, entertainment and activities for children.

 

Annual Block Party

When: A Saturday in June from Noon until 4:00 pm.

Where: Grounds of Alexander D. Goode Elementary school, 251 N. Broad Street. Moved indoors at the school in the event of bad weather.

Notes: Everyone welcome. Bring your own lawn chair if you have one. Free food, entertainment, activities for children and information tables sponsored by local organizations.

 

Breast Cancer Awareness Event

When: A Monday in October from 6-8 pm. Check Facebook for actual date each year.

Where: York City Campus of Stillmeadow Nazarene, 350 Chestnut Street, York PA 17403.

Notes: Learn more about this disease that can be very curable. Share your experiences and learn from experts and survivors.
